Who has a family album full of only black & white photos at home? Have you ever seen a photo album from the childhood of your parents and/or grandparents and/or other relatives? According to me, the black & white (BW) photos have absolutely great spell! The colors can strike your eye to the different details, it can hide some imperfections, underline other details… working with the BW photos is something completely different. It’s another – higher – level of photographing. Of course, in time of our grandparents there was nothing like color film or it was something that was in its beginings. Furthermore, photographing while using the classic BW film, is totally different than using todays digital cameras. Today, while you use the digital camera, you take all the pictures in colors and you work with the photos afterwards in the PC, making the adjustments like coloring. The great thing about BW photography is the thing that the colors stop disturbing you and you can notice another wonderful details and the composition of the daylight and shadows. Be aware! Not all of the photos are good and suitable for being adjusted to the black & white version.
Kdo z vás má doma rodinné fotoalbum s fotkami, které jsou jen černobílé? Viděli jste někdy fotoalbum z dětství svých rodičů či prarodičů? Podle mě má černobílá fotografie obrovské kouzlo! Barvy dokáží ledacos podtrhnout, vylepšit, zakrýt, upoutat pozornost na jiný detail… práce s černobílou fotografií je ale naprosto jiný level. Samozřejmě, v dobách našich prarodičů ani barevný film nebyl a nebo byl v opravdových začátcích. Navíc focení na klasický černobílý film je naprosto odlišný způsob focení než digitální fotografie, kdy fotíte barevně a teprve při úpravách v počítači dáváte fotografii do černobílé úpravy. Barvy vás přestanou rozptylovat a do popředí zájmu vystoupí linie a hra světla a stínu. Ale v tomto případě je nutné si uvědomit, že není vhodné takto upravovat každou fotografii. Máte s tím nějaké vlastní zkušenosti a tipy?
